Dr. Tim Westley: The Underdog Who Overachieves
Dr. Tim Westley doesn’t have the name recognition that comes with being a past or current San Antonio City Council member. He doesn’t have the backing of political elites or the financial floodgates that open for well-connected candidates. He doesn’t have thousands pouring in from special interests across the state and nation, nor does he have a massive campaign team.
But what Dr. Tim Westley does have is a proven record of fighting for the people—and the determination to take on the establishment. He has God, grit, and unshakable resolve, keeping him not just in the conversation, but actively challenging and outperforming his competitors.
On the campaign trail, Dr. Westley has dominated forums, delivering compelling arguments that resonate with the people. Perhaps that’s why some organizations are now shutting him out—because they fear the impact of his message.
Shut Out of Forums: The Fear of a True Challenger
Despite serving as the Historian for the Republican Party of Texas, traveling the state to educate grassroots patriots on history, Dr. Westley is being excluded from key candidate forums. Despite proving he can defeat big-money candidates—as he did in his Texas Land Commissioner race, making it to the runoff—he is still being denied a seat at the table.
His military service, experience as a teacher, and expertise as a university critical thinking instructor make him more than qualified to engage in public debate. Yet, he is being ignored in favor of lesser-polling candidates like Rolando Pablos, who raised the most money from July to December but polled at half of Dr. Westley’s numbers.
Even the San Antonio Express-News attempted to dismiss his momentum, stating:
"These are the seven candidates whom pollsters consider the top tier. Apart from Tim Westley, an education services specialist with the Department of Defense, who was at 1.6%, no other candidate polled above 1%."
Yet, in the same breath, they claim Pablos, Jones, and Altamirano are "outsiders expected to have an impact"—despite Pablos polling at just 0.8%, half of Dr. Westley’s numbers.
It’s clear: the establishment is attempting to silence a true grassroots candidate. But the people aren’t having it.
Patriots Protest for Fairness
In response to Dr. Westley’s exclusion from key debates, This Is Texas Freedom Force (TITFF) is organizing a protest with a clear message:
A real mayoral debate includes ALL candidates—not just those who will continue the status quo and corruption in San Antonio.
Grassroots patriots are standing up to demand fairness, ensuring that voters hear from every candidate—not just the ones handpicked by the establishment.
Dr. Westley himself has made it clear: if these forums were transparent about their selection process—whether based on fundraising, party affiliation, or polling—there would be no issue. But their inconsistent and selective participation criteria make the process appear rigged and biased against real challengers.
The public deserves an open and honest forum. Anything less is a disservice to democracy.
A Sign of Momentum: The Destruction of Campaign Signs
As Dr. Westley’s momentum grows, so does the opposition’s desperation. His social media presence is surging, his poll numbers have risen from being ignored in September to top-tier status today, and word-of-mouth support is spreading like wildfire.
And yet, with success comes opposition. His campaign signs are being vandalized, stolen, and defaced.
But these cowardly attacks will not stop Dr. Westley. He remains steadfast, resilient, and focused on victory.
The People’s Choice for a Better San Antonio
Dr. Tim Westley refuses to be silenced. He refuses to back down. He knows that with faith in God and the unwavering support of grassroots patriots, he will prevail.
